On arrival in Phnom Penh, transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time until your tour briefing.
Enjoy a morning cyclo ride through the backstreets of Phnom Penh. Discover Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, and the National Museum with its unique collection of Khmer art. Savour lunch nearby before spending some time browsing the stalls of the busy Central Market, selling unique silks, jewellery and handicrafts. In the afternoon, drive to Tuol Sleng Museum and learn of its significance during the Khmer Rouge regime.
Begin your day with a scenic drive to Kampong Thom. Stop in to see the fascinating Skun
Spider Market before transferring to your
hotel for check in. In the afternoon, continue your adventure to Sambor Prei Kuk Heritage site. Drive the rocky road to witness these impressive monuments before heading back to town for
an evening at leisure.
After breakfast, your adventure continues. Stop and marvel at the ancient Naga Stone Bridge before arriving at Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia. Explore the lake by boat and visit Kampong Kleang Floating Village and gain an insight into the lives of the fishing communities that call the lake home. Enjoy a local lunch, and then continue on to Siem Reap. This evening, be amazed by the acrobatics and authentic performers of Phare, The Cambodian Circus
An early morning drive to enjoy a spectacular sunrise at Angkor Wat. Explore the grounds and witness a monk blessing in one of the active pagodas before enjoying a local breakfast nearby. Your journey continues as you drive to the southern gate of the “Great City” Angkor Thom. Marvel at the imposing carvings and temple ruins. Visit the state temple of Bayon and its many monolithic stone face carvings; discover the Terrace of Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, before you arrive at the vine covered ruins of the temple of Ta Prohm. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the magnificent grounds of Angkor Wat.
Start your day with a visit to the local market
at Dom Dek before continuing your journey to Beng Mealea Temple, one of the two largest temples outside of Angkor. View the partly buried sandstone remains and explore the temple ground before enjoying a local lunch, and continuing your drive to the Banteay Srei. On your return journey, stop and visit the Land Mine Museum, visit a local village to see the sugar palm production and stop to explore Banteay Samre Temple.
Enjoy breakfast before transferring to the airport for your onward departure flight.
